Most linear high bays mount via aircraft cable, chain, or conduit, and many include a five-foot power cord for drop-plug installation. Standard wattages run from 100W to 220W, replacing metal halide or high-output fluorescent strip fixtures in retrofit applications. Efficacy ratings above 130 lumens per watt are common, and most units include a 5000K or 4000K color temperature option to match the space's existing light quality or the owner's preference.

Linear high bays pair well with a row-by-row dimming and occupancy control strategy in large warehouses, where entire bays can be dimmed when not in active use. Most models include a 0-10V dimming lead as standard.
