About LED PAR Lamps

LED PAR lamps are directional replacement bulbs designed for track lighting, recessed fixtures, outdoor flood applications, and retail display lighting. PAR stands for parabolic aluminized reflector, and the number following PAR indicates the bulb diameter in eighths of an inch: PAR20 (2.5"), PAR30 (3.75"), and PAR38 (4.75") are the most common commercial sizes.

QuickShipLights stocks PAR lamps across a range of wattages, beam angles, and color temperatures. Narrow spot options (10 to 25 degrees) concentrate light for accent and display work. Wide flood options (40 degrees and up) work for general illumination in recessed housings. PAR38 lamps are frequently used in outdoor wet-location fixtures.

Color temperature options typically include 2700K (warm white), 3000K, 4000K (neutral white), and 5000K (daylight). Most commercial applications default to 4000K for task areas and 3000K for hospitality or retail settings.

Compare with LED BR Lamps for broader flood distribution in recessed cans. For low-voltage accent lighting, see LED MR16 Lamps and LED GU10 Lamps. Tube replacements are in LED T8 Lamps.
