LED tri-proof lights are heavy-duty sealed fixtures designed to resist three simultaneous environmental threats: water, dust, and physical impact. The tri-proof designation refers to this triple protection, with fixtures typically rated IP65 or higher and IK08 or IK10 for impact resistance.
These fixtures are specified for environments where vapor tight or standard wet location fixtures may not be adequate. Construction generally involves a one-piece or two-piece polycarbonate housing with a snap-fit or gasketed cover, stainless steel or plastic hardware, and a sealed internal driver.
