Output, Color, and Glare

For office work, aim for even light at the desk with controlled glare, which is where an indirect or direct indirect pendant earns its place by washing the ceiling and softening shadows. Many fixtures are CCT and lumen selectable, so one unit sets to 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K and to a chosen output on install. A high quality lens or louver keeps the fixture comfortable under a computer screen.
