About LED T8 Lamps

LED T8 lamps are the standard fluorescent tube replacement, fitting the same G13 bi-pin base as traditional 4-foot T8 and T12 fluorescent lamps. They are the most common lamp upgrade in commercial buildings, replacing fluorescent fixtures in offices, schools, warehouses, retail spaces, and parking structures.

Three installation types are available. Type A lamps work with existing electronic T8 ballasts, requiring no rewiring. Type B (direct-wire) lamps bypass the ballast entirely, connecting directly to line voltage for the longest service life. Type A+B lamps accommodate both approaches. For most commercial applications, Type B is preferred for new installations and long-term reliability; Type A is better suited for rapid retrofits with existing ballast inventory.

Standard lengths are 2-foot (600mm) and 4-foot (1200mm), with 8-foot (2400mm) options for high-bay fluorescent fixtures. Color temperatures of 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K cover the full commercial range.
