Common installations include automotive shops, light manufacturing facilities, warehouses with mezzanine levels, retail back-of-house areas, and storage rooms. Output typically ranges from 3,000 to 10,000 lumens per fixture, with 4000K to 5000K color temperatures providing good color rendering for detail work.

Most linear low bay fixtures mount flush to the ceiling via surface mount or chain and cable suspension and daisy-chain for continuous-run layouts. Look for DLC-listed models to qualify for utility rebates on energy-efficient upgrades.
