About LED Canopy Lights

LED canopy lights mount to the underside of overhead canopy structures and are purpose-built for applications where fixtures are exposed to weather, vehicle exhaust, and continuous operation. Gas station forecourts, drive-through lanes, parking structure entry and exit points, toll plazas, and covered loading docks are the primary applications.

Canopy fixtures are typically surface or recessed-mounted into a flat or slightly angled canopy ceiling. Most carry wet location ratings given their exposure to wind-blown rain. High lumen output, typically 5,000 to 20,000 lumens per fixture, ensures safe illumination levels for drivers and pedestrians at night.

Key specs to evaluate include lumens, watts, mounting style (surface vs. recessed vs. pendant), color temperature, IP rating, and UL wet location listing. Some canopy lights include built-in photocell sockets for dusk-to-dawn control.

Pair canopy lights with Photocells for automated control. For service-bay and parking deck applications, see LED Garage Lights. High-output forecourt fixtures are in LED Gas Station Lights. Perimeter lighting options include LED Wall Packs.
